Crane Canyon Cellars 2000 Zinfandel, Russian River Valley, Elsbree Vineyard, Estate BottledGardner Britt and Patrick Imbimbo started Crane Canyon Cellars in 1993. Chuck Elsbree joined the winery in 1998. It was originally located in Bennett Valley, Santa Rosa, but in 1999 located to a new, greatly expanded facility in the foothills of Windsor, just north of Arata Lane. Owners Britt and Imbimbo are the head Winemakers for the winery. They take special pride in the handcrafted wines they produce. Crane Canyon's annual production is approximately 5,000 cases per year. Within two years they will expand to 10,000 cases.

The high quality of Crane Canyon wines is attributed to using the best fruit available, labor intensive open-top fermentation for virtually all of their red wines, gentle handling of the wine at every point of production and meticulous attention to all details of the wine making process by the owners. This is a very "hands-on" operation.

The product line includes Russian River Valley Zinfandel, Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Knights Valley Mourvèdre, North Coast Viognier, North Coast White Crane  (a unique blend of Viognier and Gewürztraminer and a dry, French style Mourvèdre Rosé.
